Safety

12/14/2023 12:14pm

Safety systems are built into Lake Vista to protect residents and guests while allowing them fully to enjoy the community.

Buildings are constructed of concrete and concrete block with a stucco exterior. Windows are high-impact hurricane-resistant. Residents invite friends to stay with them during severe weather.

Each condominium unit has several smoke alarms.  Replacing the alarms or their batteries is the responsibility of the owner.  Each unit also has one heat detector located on the ceiling near the kitchen cabinets.  The heat detector is wired into the fire alarm system, and no one should touch it.  Heat detectors are inspected annually.

The neighborhood speed limit is 15 mph, or 5 mph in the circular driveway in front of each condominium building. Guests must display a visitor’s pass if parking overnight for more than three days. Residents may not park oversized vehicles in the parking lots.

Pets of owners are limited to two dogs or cats. Outside the unit, pets must be on a leash. Pets are not permitted in the Clubhouse or Pool area.

Users of the pool and spa are warned that NO LIFEGUARD IS ON DUTY. Required safety equipment is available.

Smoking is not permitted at the Clubhouse or pool area or in the lobbies, elevators or stairwells.

Rentals must be for not less than 90 days or three consecutive months and require association approval.

Use of condominium units is limited to single families.
